Danny hates the camera! He hates it!
Ok, one would have thought I had accepted I look awful on film, but nooooo, not dannyboy.

Anyway, I'm going through old photographs and I thought I'd put up as many as I can.
Eventually you will be able to comment on the pictures, but we'll see how long it takes me to implement it. (Wow, only took 1h, 8m!)

About the captions, I hope you can forgive me not writing stuff for each and every one. I upload a gallery and then, when I feel like it, I write captions. I can do it right away, but it's too boring :P.

Yesterday we celebrated Midsummers eve in Sweden, and here are some pictures from then.
Midsummer 2005

Thailand
In 2005 we were treated to a one week trip to Thailand by Tees parents. Here are some pictures from that trip. It was the best vacation of my life! We went to a place in Thailand called Jomtien, just outside of Pattaya. It was very nice, but it did have a few chinks. The city of Jomtien was pretty rundown and if you are a guy and not interested in hookers, I'd advice not to go out without female company at night. I also would not reccomend this place if you find 60 year old men with very young women disturbing.

The food was great. We went to a restaurant recomended by a tailor called Ruen Thai that was great. The taste was very strong, but unfortunately, with strong taste, it usually gets hot and spicy too. I recall ordering coke after coke. Tee had a Singa (Beer) and got drunk like hell from just that one beer... Heat, alcohol and a low threashold is not a good combination!

Mixed pictures
Here is some mixed pix from the trip.

Wooden Castle
We went on a trip to a wooden castle. I really like wooden carvings so this place was just pure heaven for me. Not exacly the style for Tees parents though, but I liked it a lot. The detail is astounding. It has taken them about 20 years to get this far with another 20 years to get it finished. The finanser is the owner of a large insurance company that wants to give carpenters a place to make a mark in history. And what a mark it is!

Wat Yan Sangwararam
The day after the castle we went to a thai-chinese temple called Wat Yan Sangwararam. First we went to their big garden overlooked by a gigantic Buddah on the mountainwall. It was really impressive, let me assure you!. Then we went to the temple museum that holds a lot of chinese statues and even two terracotta soldiers. We don't have any pictures from the last part of the temple tour, because we were not allowed to take any pictures there. But it contained one of the most beautiful Buddahs I have ever seen (Not that I've seen very many, but you get the point.)

Elephant Trekking
We went to an elephant village that put on a show to collect money to keep the elephants. And no wonder they need money. 34 elephants eating 200Kg of food and dringking 150 litres of water each day. And on top of that, the occational elephant that runs away to the neigbouring bananafarm ;) We also rode the elephants for about 40 minutes. One word for you all: Altophobia.

Trips as a young boy
Blekinge 1996
First up is a gallery from a trip to Blekinge I made with my grandparents in 1996 I think it was.

Mixed 1996
Some mixed photos from 1996. A boattrip with the family, me leaving basic school and going to highschool, countryhouse and a trip to the swedish west coast.

Chicago 1996
Some pictures from my trip to visit family in Chicago. Embarrassingly, I have almost forgotten their names. Karin was a lovely old lady, and I wish I had been better at keeping in touch. Too late now. She passed away a few years back. All the best to her family, Greg and Lynda and their children, and grandchildren.

Schoolcatalogs
Some schoolphotos from back in the day when I was in school. Only on my own class, and only two of them :(. If I find more, I'll put them up too.

Chicago in Sweden
Pictures taken from when my Chicago relatives were in Sweden in the beginning of 1995. We went to Sigtuna and looked at the courthouse. We had coffie at "Tant Brun" and then dinner at the Cityhotel. Some photos from the backyard of my grandparents and a dinner with the whole family. My parents and brothers, and all my grandparents (Me being lucky enough to have all 4 alive) along with the visiting two of course, Karin and her daughter Lynda.

Ölandstripp 1985
I was four years old and Tomas three when we went on this trip with our grandparents. These trips we had each year were surely the highlight of the year and we are very, very greatful for them!
