This page is about me personally, so it will most probably grow into something quite long over time. Rants, images and links have their own parts, but if I want to express something in particular without ranting I will do that here.

I finally created an account at www.last.fm . It keeps track of the songs I play on my computer and display for others to see, and gives me recommendations on what other artists I may be interested in, while providing a way to discuss and discover music. The player I use is FooBar2000 and the format I use is FLAC, but only for tracks I have a CD source for. Others, like songs I have from my brother and such, will remain in MP3 or AAC until I get tired and exchange them. I used to use iTunes, which is a nice program but lacked a few things. It lack a plugin for last.fm, which I could live with, but it has astonishinly bad support for other codecs than those from Apple.

I normally work as a teacher at a school in Stockholm, Sweden, spreading my excellent knowledge in computerbased courses.

I teach more or less 4 courses

Datakunskap (DTR1201) which is a class for basic computer skills and uses. You learn what a computer is, some parts, and some skills in Officerelated software. I usually teach MS Office 2000 since that is what is decided by the administration. I would like to use Open Office instead, but it doesn't really matter. The extent of the course does not go beyond what is quite similar in both programs.

Persondatorer (DTR1206) which is a class to learn more about computers. How the work, Components, Standards, etc.

Operativsystem (DTR1205) which is about operative systems. We work mostly in Windows 2000, but we do install a linux distribution called Gentoo to get akwainted with other ways of doing stuff.

These two courses (DTR1205 and DTR1206) have been slammed together at my school to form a course called A+, which is a Certification you can get that is internationally valid. If you show enough skill, the school will actually pay for the Certification test. However, that has yet to happen.
The course is set up so you get a chassi and a box of computerparts. Out of this you will build a computer, install an OS on it and complete tasks, which results in a report that you submit to the teacher. It is later returned with comments on how you have performed. At the end of the day you pull apart the computer. Meaning you have to asssemble/disassemble it every day of class.

Lokala nätverk A (DTR1203) is the last course I teach. It's an introductory course for network building, with a bit of hardware (Switches, stacking, cables, contacts, panels, labling etc) and some software (Client/Server connection, very basic).

Other than that I develop some systems for the school. I have built an Inventory System and an evaluationsystem for Student/Teacher/School Evaluation.
